oh look: new gas sources emerged in aceh after the tsunami disaster. a group of people were actually digging for water, but in the end they found new gas sources. cant find the equivalent article in english, but that article is worth the read.

and talking about minyak, here is a snippet from the article in jakarta post (be patient though, page dia asyik time out je kalau nak load). the author was talking about how oil is more like a curse rather than a blessing to indonesia. polically-wise, financially-wise, etc etc. but what's interesting is:

"The government of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono continues to subsidize the consumption of domestic fuel, which will easily cost the government more than Rp 120 trillion ($12 billion = RM 45.6 billion) this year.

This is an absurd amount, which would be better spent on other more urgent and worthy causes. It is an amount that surpasses our education, health and defense budgets. It is even more absurd considering that the subsidy is enjoyed mostly by the wealthy and the middle class. It's money that we burn unnecessarily."

and malaysia punya subsidi minyak is RM 6.6 billion. and let's just pray that the subsidy goes to the correct channel :) oh and that the price of barang2 should not skyrocket tanpa sebab.

apa sangat la rm 1.62 tu

crude oil price went up to usd70 a barrel. harga minyak petrol kat malaysia sekarang rm1.62 seliter. dengar khabar harga minyak nak naik lagi. maka ramailah orang komplen.

according to the newspapers, the increase in crude oil price was due to the storm katrina hitting the US sebab a quarter of the production in the us was halted sebab ribut katrina tu. katrina has caused a lot of devastations.

read the article and you will notice that keadaan kat sana tak ubah macam dalam cerita war of the worlds. riots everywhere. no food and drink. dont know where to go. family members lost.

and worst, they (15,000 - 20,000 of them) dont seem to get the help they need.

tempias katrina kat kita sikit je. harga minyak naik. dont u just feel lucky?

and talking about harga minyak naik, the government cant forever subsidise fuel. yes, the increase in fuel price has caused petronas to gain more profits, but rather than giving it ALL back to fuel subsidisation (which will be sunken costs), dont u think it's better if petronas give back in terms of taxes, so that schools, hospitals, facilities, can be built?

besides, if the government is subsidiasing fuel, tak semua tu pergi ke petronas. shell, esso, projet, caltex, bp jugak yg untung. not just that, malaysia yg ada minyak ni pun kena import balik minyak utk kegunaan harian. jual mahal, beli balik mahal jugak.

you see, it's just inevitable. but at least, bila kita berenti kat stesen minyak nak isi minyak, it means that we have money, we have a car (or bike), we dont have riots going on around, tak payah kena tunggu bas nak kena pegi mana2 tempat shelter, ada rumah, etc etc.

there are just so many things to be thankful for, dont u think?

i always meet weird people in lifts. pelik peliiikkk sangat.

tadi aku nak pegi ke mynews.com (kat tkt 2), wanted to buy some things to eat. (for lunch ok? :p kesian aku, lunch pukul 4) and on the way down, 2 guys went into the lift. upon seeing the number 2 lighted up on the panel of the lift, sorang tu ckp 'ni nak gi tingkat dua ni nak shopping la. takde keje lain. shopping je keje'

aku cam, ehhhh?? yg ko sebok ni apahal?

sure bini dia banyak sgt shopping time megasale ni. tu yg dia tension kot.

dan aku pun tension jugak. bila aku tension, aku merepek kat blog :p

itulah sbb nya aku tak update blog aku. the reason i started this blog was partly due to the fact that i want a place to vent out my frustration/anger towards benda2/orang2 yang insulting my intelligence. but since i am currently in love, i find that nothing really annoys me. but i can't say the same about how others feel towards me though. in fact, i used to get really close-to-puking whenever i see lovey-dovey couples. mental yg teramat la :p . pastu bila dah cintan cintun camni baru la tau. hahahah padan muka aku.

disebabkan aku nye posting bukan pasal aku sakit ati ngan apa2, maka aku nak tunjuk satu gambar yg kiut.

itu kucing aku. a kitten actually. dia tade nama so aku panggil dia miau miau je. (tapi dia hanya menjawab panggilan aku bila aku nak bagi dia makan je. bila bukan time bagi makan, dia buat donno je bila aku panggil dia)

dia tengah tido atas perut aku yg tengah baring atas couch sambil tengok tv. gambar tu aku ambik masa aku balik kampung a few weeks ago. biarla kucing2 aku tu tak secerdik kucing2 mior yg seakan-akan paham apa dia ckp tapi sebab kucing2 aku tu cute, aku sayang jugak diorang. rupa pun tade la lawa mcm kucing2 mior tapi aku sayang gak kucing2 aku. (somehow it sounds like mior's cats are superior than mine la pulak ek?). tp walaubagaimanapun aku tetap sayang dan rindu kucing2 aku tu.

*sigh* bila kat kl, rindu kucing2 kat kampung. bila kat kampung plak rindu kat kucing kat kl ni. :p

masa nak upload gambar kucing tu, aku login ke fotopages. key in punya key in, tak leh nak masuk. pastu baru la aku teringat yg aku tade account fotopages. aku ada flickr. aiseh. lupa paswd sebab lama tak masuk. blogger ni pun aku try 3,4 passwords baru betul. :p

takpe. kalau lupa pswd, reset je. tp kalau login name pun lupa jugak, mcm mana aa??

a movie review? not!

mlm semalam aku tengok cite war of the worlds. terlambat beberapa jam dari mior. tapi mior tak aci sebab dia cuti satu hari utk tgk movie.

tp walaubagaimanapun mior, aku nye lagi best sbb aku nye premier tickets (good seats to boot!) ngan ada dinner buffet. yay!!

aku tengok kat gsc baru kat 1 utama tu, and i dare say that new gsc cinemas are really much much better than tgv (but that is maybe tgv has not been opening new cinemas lately la kan). but the gsc in times square and 1 utama are really comfortable. spacious seats and plenty of leg room. so sape2 yg kaki panjang (atau perasan kaki dia panjang dan sexy) tu suka sangat la kan. but when you're exiting the cinemas, dia campur aduk dengan orang2 yg beratur nak beli tiket la yg tunggu nak start movie la etc etc. so situ mcm pasar malam sikit la. but other than that, it's just fabulous! albeit it's a bit far from my house and office. so kalau weekends tu ok la kot but kalau weekdays nanti ada orang tu ngantuk nak drive balik. but i think if it's the weekend it's just nice la sebab kalau ada masa senggang tunggu movie tu start, you have a lot of places to go to, like ikano and the curve. but i think it would be really great if the curve has its own cinema though (ceh lebih2 plak aku nih)

but i like going to gsc times square because not many people go to that gsc so you're sure to get tickets to any movie you want to watch (too bad initial d tak tayang kat gsc. tapi kawan aku tengok cite tu and dia cakap so-so je cite tu, but that's another story lah). and the seats and leg room are on par as the ones in gsc 1 utama. and the fact that it's closer to my home is just nice if i feel like going for a movie on the weekdays.

and speaking of instant tickets, smile cinema kat amcorp mall tu lagi champion bab ni. ko pegi lah pukul2 berapa pun, mesti ada nya lah tiket. but since they only have 3 screens, they only show 3 movies at a time but the good thing is, they show only new movies. so if i feel like watching a recently released movie and don't feel like queuing up, i just head straight over to smile cineplex in amcorp mall. but the problem is that since the seating is not a stadium seating, orang2 yg pendek macam aku ni ada kemungkinan kena duduk belakang orang yg tinggi atau ada rambut besar atau berkepala besar.

AAANNDDD i know that theres a new cineplex in ampang, dekat galaxy shopping centre. aku pun tak tau sangat kat mana. and it's been receiving kind reviews (kind ok, not rave reviews :p )
tapi takpe, nanti aku gi sana nanti baru aku bleh cite.

sebenarnya aku mula2 nak cerita pasal cite war of the worlds tu but i ended up talking about cinemas. jadi cinema review la plak. oh well, it's still an entry right? :D

utk peminat setia aku kriggs

setelah beberapa lama aku tak update blog aku, kriggs sorang je yg suruh aku update??!! nampak sangat blog aku membosankan hahahahah. syok sendiri pun ye gak.

punya la aku jarang update sampai nak login pun dah lupa password. tukar punnn lupa jugak. haih

speaking of passwords, i have read somewhere that microsoft (or some other giants) have started to suggest users to write down passwords somewhere and keep them safe. why? because if users are not encouraged to write down their passwords, they will have a tendency to pick easy-to-remember passwords. thus, the chance of other people guessing their passwords correctly are quite high.

i think they are right la. so guard your passwords as if you are guarding your wallets, credit cards, handphones (from your meddling girlfriend), etc etc.

and choose passwords that have non-alphebetical characters, and are not in the dictionary.

aku tak gelak kat lawak dia yg 'hujan kucing dan anjing' tu. aku gelak kat yg dlm ( ) tu. apzaaaaaa tak payah la explain lawak ko tuuuu... kawan2 ko ni bukannye bengap sangat nak paham :)) tp tu la. kadang2 lawak apza ni terlalu advanced utk rakan2 nya. dan terpaksa la dia explain lawak dia tu. and you know how jokes are. once you have to explain the joke, it's not funny anymore.

ey apza. bukan 'raining cat and dog' la. it's 'raining cats and dogs'. kalau cat and dog je, ko kena letak 'raining a cat and a dog'. but then, it will mean that the same cat and dog will be thrown down. sian kucing ngan anjing tu. 'meooowww dush woof woof dush meowwww dush woof woof dush'

eh zaini apa laaa ko merepek ni. entah la aku pun tatau. i think i put a little too much nescafe in my morning cup.

on certain days la ok. hari lain aku kadang2 kena kerja on the weekends, or on weekdays, sometimes late at night. dulu ye la selalu kena stayback. tp sekarang dah jarang dah. tp kalau ada pun, ada orang nak temankan aku. yayyyy

tak jadi la nak baca paper. boss aku dah start suruh buat kerja dah.

some people just have to much time on their hands dont they? (eh macam kenal je)

i like getting forwarded mails. just that, i dont like it when i get big attachments of powerpoint slides, and the content is merely a few sentences. kita mestilah jimatkan the company's bandwidth. dah la menggunakan masa dan harta syarikat utk cek email personal, chat, ngulor, dan bla bla bla. dah la tu, ada yg blogging jugak! isy isy isy...

on top of those things, someone had to donate his time / skill (or unskillness) untuk transfer ayat2 se co et tu ke slide-slide powerpoint yg gabak2. eh eh, powerpoint je ke bang? apsal tak buat dlm flash ke? baru la gempak. alang2 nak buang masa, alang2 nak tunjuk skill, go all out la. dan biasanya yg aku dpt adalah slides yg ala-ala baru reti guna powerpoint. animate sana, animate sini. click click click. dah la the transition of one slide to another is already slow, tambah pulak dengan bunyik macam2. bunyi loceng basikal la, bunyi ketuk pintu la, bunyik kucing kena pijak la etc etc.

so i normally dont open .pps attachments. unless i am dead bored.

although i admit, sometimes the contents are good. tapi disebabkan aku tension ngan slide powerpoint yg tiuuuu tingggg kachinggg! maka aku pun malas nak baca.

banyak lagi forwarded mails lain aku nak kena baca.
